my children are pretty funny on a daily basis-----i am just not very good at documenting the things that they say and the ways they are constantly entertaining each other and casey and i. so i thought i would take a few minutes and post a couple of quotes from the last couple of days:
Brody---"can i get my ears pierced?"
Me- "absolutely not, you are only 8 years old...if you still want it done in middle school or high school we can talk about it then.
Brody---"but dad had his ears pierced"
Me- "yeah but he was in high school, why do you want your ears pierced anyways?"
Brody-- "because when you are really tan like i am, it looks really good!"
this is about the time casey walked into the room and told him absolutely not. now granted the kid has a very nice summer tan going, but i do not feel that he needs earrings to compliment it! he is so humble isn't he???
Now for the kerrigan quote of the week. many of you know that i adopted brody when he was about 2 1/2, but that i have been in his life since the day he was born. brody knows this and goes through spurts will he will ask questions about it and he has been going through one of those phases lately. kerrigan said something to him about all of them being in my belly and brody informed her that he was not in my belly. she stopped and gave him a confused look and then asked him if he was in daddy's belly :) to which, he shot me a "is she serious look" and then simply told her no he was in another lady's belly. this apparently was a good enough answer for kerrigan because she just kinda shrugged her shoulders and ran off continuing with what she was doing.
lilly is doing well and is starting to talk pretty well. she is walking/running all over the place. she loves to sing and can sing her ABCs, twinkle twinkle and patty cake well enough that you can tell what she is trying to sing :) she absolutely adores her brother and sister. we have started to implement time out with her. it is pretty entertaining, she sits in the corner with a scowl on her face and repeatedly says "no, no, no" while she smacks her little hand on the floor. we might have our hands full with her! however, she is quite possibly the cutest thing on the face of the earth (aside from my other two children). i promise i will try and post some pics soon. we leave for a family vacation to florida in 5 days (but who is counting??) :)
